Art Can Gallery
is an exciting new place in Canning, Nova Scotia.
Beautifully situated in the oldest building in town, circa 1866, the
gallery exhibits wonderful things by local artists.
This
course covers the basic principles of still life
as
well as demonstrating new techniques and
modern approaches to art making.
You
can
bring
your own materials or purchase
them
at the gallery for a reasonable price.
Landscape
Painting
Are
you inspired by our beautiful surroundings?
Experience the joy of painting landscapes from
photography. Choose your paint medium; oil,
watercolour or acrylics. (no solvents please)
Experimental
Techniques in Acrylic
Learn
many new and interesting techniques to
add to your repertoire. Mixed media offers new
opportunities for anyone willing to experiment.
Demonstrations and examples of other artist's
work will be incorporated into these sessions.
Perhaps
the most challenging of all paint mediums,
this course is structured to provide a good
foundation to watercolour painting. You will be
guided through varous exercises to develop both
control and strong working methods.
Childrens
Programs
Children's
programs will focus on the fun in
fundamentals of art making: drawing, painting
and clay modelling. Losts of interesting projects to
challenge students each week. All art materials
youneed are included in the fee.

Coach
Ron
Hayes has a Masters Degree in Expressive Arts from the European
Graduate School in Wallis, Switzerland. He has taught art for 25
years and exhibits his paintings in North America and Europe.
Private lessons and commissions available by appointment.

register with a $40 deposit as space is limited.
Students are accepted on a first come first serve basis.
Some additional classes may be scheduled if there is a demand.
