Sometimes
referred to as a 'Giclée' these are accurate fine art reproductions
of original works of art. This process is used to produce limited
edition prints of high quality and value.
The image must first be digitally captured. This can be done by high
resolution scanning, or by digital capture using a state-of-the-art
digital back fitted to a professional camera. The image is then processed
by a skilled operator, and matched as closely as possible to the original
artwork. The fine art print is then ready to be reproduced on media
such as specially treated artists' watercolour paper and canvas.
This is done on a high-resolution printer and involves close collaboration
between the artist and the printer to create a reproduction of the
highest possible quality. Innovative
Imaging Studio is the company
I work with to produce these prints.
Fine art prints produced by this method should be treated as if they
were original paintings and care given to the environment in which
they are displayed. They should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
They are sensitive to water and should be framed behind glass for display.
Efforts have been made to keep the colours as close as possible to
the originals, but, due to web limitations, tones may vary. If you
are not completely satisfied with your purchase, return it in the original
condition and packaging within 7 days of receipt for a full refund.
